Hartford Bridge Club
Present: Lou Brown, Bill Watson, Marge Lennon, Libby Pearl, Mike Dworetsky, Larry Wallowitz, Bev Saunders, Tom Gerchman, Gene Copa, Reg Harvey, and Donna Feir, Club Manager. Also present were Pat Salve and Bunny Kliman. Secretary’s Report: The Secretary’s report was accepted. Reg Harvey will post the minutes to the Web. Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s report was accepted. The loss for March, 2010, was $11,000 which included the bathroom repairs. The loss for March, 2009, was $7,928. Due to the loss in revenue, a motion to increase the table fees by $1.00 per person was made and passed. This increase will be in effect as of May 1, 2010. Club Manager’s Report: 1. The table count for March, 2010, was 635; in March, 2009, it was 617. 2. There are 486 paid members. 3. Donna reported a savings from CL&P over the last two months as a result of the energy efficient lighting. Old Business: 1. Pat and Bunny gave pertinent information on D & O insurance. It was subsequently voted to purchase this insurance. 2. The Wednesday evening game has raised the number of points that a player may have to participate to 600 . The previous maximum was 399. 3. A memo will be sent to members requesting their input regarding the low attendance at the Sunday game. New Business: 1. A letter from Elizabeth Garner was read and filed. |
