Hartford Bridge Club
Present: Lou Brown, Bill Watson, Marge Lennon, Libby Pearl, Mike Dworetsky, Larry Wallowitz, Bev Saunders, Tom Gerchman, Gene Copa, and Donna Feir, Club Manager. Also present were Hoby Littlefield and Pat Salve. Secretary’s Report: Accepted. Reg Harvey will post the minutes to the Web after they are approved. Treasurer’s Report: Accepted. Treasurer's Report was deferred. Pat Salve presented a paper on Directors & Officers Liability Insurance. We shall obtain two quotes.Manager’s Report: 1. The table count for November, 2009 was 552; in November, 2008 it was 586. 2. There are 412 paid members. There will be a reminder notice sent out to delinquent members. 3. The high-low swiss and Frank Macri’s Life Master Party will be on January 15, 2010. 4. A contract was signed to proceed with the New England Energy Co. to install more cost- effective lighting. Long Range Growth Committee: 1. The current lease was extended for an additional five years ending on November 30, 2018. New Business: 1.Bill Watson reported changes in Sectionals (mid morning and mid-afternoon). 3. E-mails from Nancy Krech were read. The minutes will not appear on the Web Site until they are approved.
The next meeting will be on January 21, 2010.
