Hartford Bridge Club
Present: Lou Brown, Libby Pearl, Tom Gerchman, Marge Lennon, Mike Dworetsky, Reg Harvey, Bev Saunders, Bill Watson, Gene Copa, Larry Wallowitz, and Donna Feir, Club Manager. Also present were Hoby Littlefield to aid with the treasurer’s transition, Hilda Silverman, Dixie Mastrandrea and Pat Salve. Secretary’s Report: Accepted. Reg Harvey will post the minutes to the Web after they are approved. Treasurer’s Report: Accepted. The deficit for the past 12 months is approximately $7,000.00.
Manager’s Report: 1. The table Count for October, 2009 was 644; in October, 2008 it was 608. 2. There are 391 paid members including 35 new members. 3. Donna expressed her thanks to Margery Gussak for catering the annual meeting. 4. There will be a high/low Swiss either in December, 2009 or January, 2010. 5. There was a thank you note from Nancy Krech. She had received a check for $81.00 as a rebate from B. J.’s. Old Business: 1. There was a motion to return to the July, 2009, food policy enabling dry snacks and liquids that fit into the cup holders at the tables. New Business: 1. Long Range Growth Committee reported to the property owners that we have no desire to acquire the facilities next door at this time.. 3. Larry Wallowitz presented a proposal to proceed with the New England Energy incentive program. 4. Life-Time membership issue was postponed. 5. E-mail from Nancy Krech was postponed.
