HBC 0-199 Game, 5-9-07
Good evening…welcome/welcome back…there will be no "lesson" tonight. 0 to 199
masterpoints covers a wide range of experience and ability, so we will split into two groups
to better serve your needs.
Group A – Players with experience, comfortable with the movements, bidding boxes,
scoring, and the fundamentals of duplicate bridge…….i.e. players who are primarily here to
accumulate master points and improve their ACBL ranking. You will play at a steady pace that
allows for 20+ boards to be played. Masterpoints will be awarded.
Group B – Players with less experience who want to play at a slower pace, allowed
to ask questions, need more assistance from the director(s), etc. Players who need to leave
before 10:00 p.m. can be accommodated in this group, but not in Group A.
Future Plan – Next week (5-16-07), a lesson/lecture/discussion will be offered from
6:30 – 7:00 p.m. for all who wish to attend. At 7:00 p.m., Group A will commence their
duplicate session. Their last round must begin by 9:45 p.m., so the game will be over by
10:00 p.m., or shortly thereafter. Group B play will also commence at 7:00 p.m., but the
progression will be at a slower pace for the less experienced players.
